During the day, my neighbourhood is a maze of vintage clothes stores, independent record dealers and quaint boutiques. It’s a vibrant little town that has been described as being “exactly like a toy box.” It’s a strange description, but one that fits so well.
At night, however, while the rest of Tokyo is swimming in neon, Shimokita takes on a more bohemian feel. Sleepy side streets dotted with hypnotic ch??chin lanterns, mingle with the sound of footsteps in the distance.
