Making friends with EZYPT – and all through the power of bananas.
So the other day I went to Chinatown in Yokohama. I bought 20 bananas for 200yen ($2) and because they were a pain to carry I started to give them away to strangers. At first people thought I was mental but they soon warmed to the idea when they realised I was helping them achieve their daily potassium requirement.
Once the bunch of bananas was small enough to fit in my backpack I went for a walk. I have always loved Yokohama.
That’s when I saw this guy in Yamashita Park.
He was dancing.
When I sat down, so did he.
As I was sitting watching him dance I remembered I had some bananas in my bag, so I started eating them. He came over and produced two banana shakers from his pocket.
AND DID A BANANA DANCE
His band is called EZYPT. He gave me a badge.
And some EZYPTIAN money.
I am now converted.
