So I’ve decided to take a bit of a breather from Tokyo to do some travel. At the end of this month I’ll be flying to Thailand, heading south to chill out and check out the areas of Hua Hin and Cha-Am. I plan to eat and sit. Not much else. From there I’ll head onwards to Isaan where I’ll stay with my friends Allan and Fanfan from Live Less Ordinary near the Cambodian border. After Thailand I’m flying to Nepal for a month – a country I’ve wanted to see for a while now. Looking forward to staring at the Himalayas.
Lao Tzu once said “a good traveller has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” And so after Nepal, I haven’t quite decided what I’m up to. Brunei, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Oman, Sahara. These are places I haven’t been to yet and want to see, so let’s see what happens. I’ll also be back in Northern Ireland and the UK at some point this year to do some trips from there – so any one I didn’t see last time I was home, you can buy me a coffee. Or a cider. Or both.
I recently did an interview with Jonny Blair from Don’t Stop Living, talking about travel and some of the fun stuff that has happened to me over the years. Jonny’s en route to his 100th country so maybe you’ll see him about. You can read that interview here – although maybe the less that is said about that golden condom incident the better. Safe travels!
