❤ A little photo essay of some wanderings from the last month or so here in Tokyo ❤

It’s nearly summer in Tokyo.

Which means lots of rain. In Akihabara…

Shibuya…

And overlooking Tokyo Tower, lost in the mist.

The sun does shine though

Allowing for catch-ups in parks

And quiet moments in the suburbs.

Nighttime walks are fun

Whether it’s looking at big buildings in Ebisu

Or smaller ones in Sasazuka

In fact, Sometimes it doesn’t feel like Tokyo at all…

My job often brings me to places I have never been to before

To streets I would never ordinarily see

But the the neighbourhood where I live will always be the same

Along with Shibuya just down the road

Nothing really surprises me in this city anymore

There is always a new friend to make

And healthy food to eat

OK, it’s not all healthy…

From quaint alleyways

To dark ones

Hippy vibes

To punk ones

This is Tokyo. And I’m grateful to live here. ❤

Thanks for posting this – so interesting. It was a great pleasure when I visited Tokyo to just walk around and take pictures. It is such an interesting place.
Them there hoops on thon tube look tempting for a monkey swing from one end of the tube til the other without touching the floor. Anyone that can do that, I will class it as a “new country” for them.
