Last month, Mrs IKIMASHO and I flew to Seoul to meet up with a few friends from Europe who were travelling through South Korea at the time. (Coincidentally, one of these friends I actually travelled to Busan with way back in 2003 when we both lived in Fukuoka.) It turned out to be a really nice trip. As a city, Seoul felt like a magical mix of so many different cities rolled into one. Everything felt fresh, new and exciting – and yet paradoxically, underneath it all, ran a distinct feeling of familiarity. We’re already looking forward to the next chance we get to visit.
